Rescue Operation on Kozatska Street
Rescue Service received a report of a fire on Kozatska Street in the city of Oleksandriia. This was reported by regional rescuers according to the Zlatopil information portal.
Swift Response and Brave Actions
Upon arrival at the scene, rescuers noticed thick smoke coming from the windows of an apartment on the fifth floor of a five-story residential building.
According to preliminary information, there were people in the apartment. Rescuers carried out the rescue using a ladder, saving a woman born in 1977 and a child born in 2021. Also among the rescued was a beloved dog. First aid was provided to the victims and they were handed over to medical workers from the ambulance service.
Efficient Extinguishing of the Fire
In addition, it was established that 8 m² of household items and furniture burned in the apartment. The fire was localized at 10:04 and completely extinguished by 10:25 by the efforts of the Oleksandriia units of the State Emergency Service.
Thirteen rescuers and 4 units of equipment from the second State Fire and Rescue Unit were involved in extinguishing the fire.
