Arsenal’s Jurrien Timber Nearing Return to the Field

According to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta, teammate and competition for the position Alexander Zinchenko, Jurrien Timber, is nearing a return to the field after a long injury hiatus. This information is cited by The Athletic.

«Jurrien Timber is not far from returning, he is getting closer. I would say he has a good chance of playing this season, yes,» the specialist noted.

The 22-year-old Dutchman has been sidelined with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, which he sustained just 50 minutes after making his Premier League debut in August.

Arsenal acquired Timber in the summer of 2023 for €40 million.

It is worth noting that Alexander Zinchenko remained on the bench in the team’s last match against Manchester City.
