Tram Route №10 to Resume Traditional Route

Starting from April 13, tram route №10 will once again run its traditional route between Itzhak Rabin Street and Tiraspol Square.

The Odessa City Council press service announced this decision, although official explanations for the change are not yet available. Unofficially, it is believed that several factors influenced this decision.

After complaints from Cheremushki residents about the lack of direct tram connection to the city center when the route was shortened to Starosinna Square, Odessa Electrotrans decided to revert to the original route. Traffic measurements also showed that the number of passengers from Starosinna to Tiraspol Square was low.

Prior to the change, there was significant congestion on Preobrazhenska Street due to trams from routes №12 and №7, as well as route №15 on Tiraspol Square. Long queues of trams were a common sight from the square to Novoschepnyi Row.

With the traffic situation now stabilized, Odessa Electrotrans hopes that restoring the original route will improve communication between the city districts.
