Strong Winds Warning in Kharkiv
Strong winds are approaching Kharkiv. According to meteorologists, on April 2, the city and the region are expected to experience gusts of southern wind at a speed of 15-20 m/s. A yellow level of danger, level I, has been announced.
Police Recommendations
The patrol police warn that the strong wind may cause temporary power outages in some settlements and disrupt traffic on certain sections of roads and streets. They advise drivers to:
- Adhere to speed limits and maintain a safe distance; avoid risky maneuvers.
- Use low beam lights and fog lights in poor visibility conditions.
- Reduce speed before turns, intersections, and traffic lights.
- Ensure the use of passive safety measures for all passengers, including children.
Cloud of Dust from Sahara
It is also reported that a cloud of dust from the Sahara desert has reached the Kharkiv region, which has already covered a significant part of Europe and Ukraine. Meteorologists note that this phenomenon is not dangerous, as the dust concentrations are at a height of 5-7 km, and the concentration of harmful particles near the surface is within normal limits.
