Flower Planting in Kharkiv
Flowers are a common sight in Kharkiv’s parks. Workers from «Kharkivzeleneservis» recently planted 4,500 yellow and blue violets at the Cascade and near the monument to Taras Shevchenko on Sumska Street. In the Shevchenko Garden, around 14,000 flowers are planned to be planted, and flower beds near the Mirror Stream are currently being renovated.
In the Central Park, 11,000 flowers are set to be planted this year, including a central flower bed featuring a squirrel. While this is less than before the war, the total number of flowers planted in Kharkiv in 2024 is expected to reach 1.7 million, an increase from the previous year’s 1.2 million. In 2021, before the war, communal services planted a total of 2 million flowers in the city.
