European Union Ambassador to Ukraine Supports Telethon
After the completion of the telethon, European Union Ambassador to Ukraine Kateryna Maternova expressed her opinion that this will open up new perspectives for the development of their own programs at Suspilne. The information is reported by «Detector media».
«I believe that this was a good compromise that will allow Suspilne to grow and develop its programs. We have always been supporters of Suspilne. Honestly, I do not see a contradiction between the telethon and freedom of speech — you can have both. We can discuss whether the format of the telethon should be changed, but this does not mean that freedom of speech in Ukraine is restricted. We are a country with a lively public dialogue, with strong views from all sides,» Kateryna Maternova noted.
