In Dnipro city, the police have detained two local residents on suspicion of drug trafficking. The suspects used the method of hiding drugs in the Shevchenkivsky district of the city.
Police Arrest Drug Traffickers in Dnipro
On May 30, the criminal police officers of the Dnipro district police department noticed suspicious behavior of a man on one of the streets of the city. During a superficial check, packages with drugs and a mobile phone with photographs of hiding places were found on him. All the packages were ready for sale.
On the same day, the employees of the criminal police department of the police department No.7 of the Dnipro district police department detained another man for drug trafficking near one of the buildings in the Topolia-2 residential area. Packages with marijuana were found on him.
All the seized items were sent for examination. Both men were detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. On May 31, they were informed of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for up to 10 years of imprisonment. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
