Former head of the state pipe industry institute in Dnipro found guilty of embezzlement

Former head of the state pipe industry institute in Dnipro has been found guilty of embezzlement of property on an especially large scale under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He received a sentence in absentia — 10 years of imprisonment with property confiscation.

Illegal alienation of institute’s real estate objects

Prosecutors were able to prove that the convicted organized the illegal alienation of the institute’s real estate objects, with an area of 6.6 thousand square meters, in favor of private enterprises. These unlawful actions led to nearly 17 million hryvnias in damages to the state.

The actions of the prosecution are aimed at canceling the illegal registration of property rights and ensuring the implementation of court decisions to return the property to state ownership.
