A man charged for attacking patrol police officers in Vinnitsa

A man who attacked patrol police officers during their official duties in Vinnitsa has been charged in Lviv. The 32-year-old resident of Vinnitsa is facing up to five years in prison under Article 345 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Threat or violence against a law enforcement officer).

On July 10 at 9:30 pm, officers from the Economic Security Bureau informed the police about obstacles during investigative actions on Shevchenko Street in Vinnitsa. Patrol police officers from Lviv arrived at the scene and were attacked by the man, causing bodily harm.

The police identified and arrested the attacker. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, with the court deciding on a preventive measure for the suspect in collaboration with the Lviv District Prosecutor’s Office.
