Important Announcement for Children of Shostka Community

During today’s hardware meeting, Mayor Mykola Noha declared that the status of a child affected by armed conflicts and military actions will be granted to all children in the Shostka community. Currently, 471 children have been granted this status, with documents being processed for an additional 323 children pending decisions at the next meeting of the executive committee of the city council.

Originally, this status was given to children who lost parents in the war and then to child refugees. The process has now been systematized to provide it based on educational institutions,» explained Olga Hryshkova, head of the children’s affairs department.

Documents have been processed for students in grades 10-11, with ninth graders, vocational school students, and institute and college students to follow. «We will continue to grant this status to all children in the community in an organized manner to avoid queues and social tension,» stated Olga Hryshkova. The mayor emphasized the importance of quickly resolving this socially significant issue.
