Woman Sentenced to Probation for Stealing Mobile Phone
Demidivsky District Court of Rivne Region has handed down a sentence to a woman who stole a mobile phone from her acquaintance. For this crime, she was sentenced to five years of imprisonment, but the actual term was replaced with one year of probation.
Details of the Case
According to the case materials, in mid-March 2024, the woman stole a «Xiaomi Redmi Note 11» mobile phone, worth almost 3,000 hryvnias, from a cafeteria. She admitted that she took the phone when her acquaintance walked away.
Court Statement
In court, the defendant apologized to the victim and stated that she regrets her actions. The victim, on the other hand, mentioned that he has no claims against the woman since the phone was returned.
