Fire incidents caused by shelling in Donetsk region

During May 12, in the Donetsk region, 10 out of 18 fires were caused by shelling from Russian military forces. This information was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk region.

In particular, as a result of enemy shelling in the town of Lyman in Kramatorsk district, a private residential building caught fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire on the roof and the roof of the house with an area of 40 square meters. The enemy also shelled another residential area in the town of Lyman, resulting in another private residential building catching fire.

In the village of Yekaterinivka in Kramatorsk district, the enemy struck a private residential building, causing a fire. The residential building was completely destroyed.

On the same day, there was a massive shelling of the village of Kurakhivka in Pokrovsk district. As a result of the shelling, the territories of 4 private households caught fire. The fires were extinguished with an area of 400 square meters.

Also, in the Lyman area, rescuers extinguished 3 fires in natural ecosystems that were caused by enemy shelling. The fire destroyed 14 hectares of forest litter.
