This year, 2,013 patients in Khmelnytskyi region have used the «Accessible Medicines» program to receive medication for mental disorders and epilepsy either for free or at a low cost. This information was provided by the Western Interregional Department of the National Health Service of Ukraine.

The program includes a wide range of medications necessary for patients with schizophrenia, affective disorders, stress, and epilepsy. Medications can be obtained with an electronic prescription at pharmacies that have a contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine.

To benefit from the program, patients need to consult a psychiatrist or neurologist to create a treatment plan and receive a prescription.
