The European Commission officially confirmed on Wednesday the allocation of the first regular tranche of EUR 4.2 billion to Ukraine within the framework of the Ukraine Facility. This decision is another important step towards Ukraine’s European integration, support for key reforms, and ensuring sustainable economic support.
Support for European Integration and Key Reforms
After approval by the EU Council, the total funding amount of the Ukraine Facility will increase to EUR 12 billion. This mechanism provides for regular payments, depending on Ukraine’s implementation of reforms and compliance with relevant requirements, ensuring predictability and stability of assistance.
Successful Implementation of Key Reform Indicators
Key reform indicators, such as public financial management and energy policy outlined in Ukraine’s Reform and Investment Strategy Plan, have been successfully implemented, as confirmed by the Commission’s assessment.
Future Tranches and Submission of Requests
Ukraine plans to receive further tranches by the end of 2027, submitting relevant requests every quarter.
