Tragic accident in Ruska Mokra village in Zakarpattia
A 17-year-old driver caused a fatal road accident resulting in the death of a 13-year-old girl. According to the Zakarpattia police, a local resident, driving a Volkswagen, did not take into account the road conditions and hit the girl who suddenly ran onto the road.
The child died from the injuries. The driver was tested for signs of alcohol or drug intoxication and was found to be sober behind the wheel.
In connection with the fatal outcome of the accident, investigators have launched a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which relates to traffic violations leading to the death of a victim. It is also established that the underage driver was operating the vehicle without the necessary license.
