Dnipro Operative Covers Court Decision on Bank Card Fraud
«Dnipro Operative» extensively covers the court decision in the case of a fraudster who stole a bank card and used its funds. According to the case materials, on November 12, 2023, a local resident in the Krasny Kamennyy residential area found someone else’s bank card and decided to use it, making six transactions totaling 4280 hryvnias in «Silpo» and «Varus» supermarkets, as well as a local pharmacy. That same day, he was detained by the police, after which he admitted his guilt in court on charges of misappropriation of an official document and theft.
The Leninsky District Court found him guilty and sentenced him to five years’ imprisonment under Article 185 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code. However, in accordance with Article 75 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code, he was released from serving the sentence and was placed on probation for two years with restitution of the stolen property.
