The Khmelnytsky Regional Prosecutor’s Office sends indictment against lawyer from Kyiv
The Khmelnytsky Regional Prosecutor’s Office has sent an indictment to court against a lawyer from Kyiv, who is accused of committing a crime under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the accused allegedly received 4,000 US dollars to include a conscript in the «Shlyakh» information system as a volunteer driver, which would allow him to illegally cross the state border.
After receiving a down payment of 3,000 US dollars, the lawyer sent the necessary documents by mail. For an additional payment of 20,000 hryvnias, the «customer» transferred funds to his card account.
For these crimes, he faces a prison sentence of 7 to 9 years with a ban on holding certain positions or engaging in certain activities for up to three years, as well as confiscation of property.
The preliminary investigation was conducted by the investigators of the National Police in the Khmelnytsky region with the participation of the migration police and the Security Service of Ukraine in the region.
It should be reminded that according to the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until proven guilty by a court.
