The Kharkiv regional prosecutor’s office reports on drug trafficking case in Lozova
The Kharkiv regional prosecutor’s office has reported on the court proceedings against two residents of Lozova, who were detained for trafficking drugs and psychotropic substances. This information was provided by the newspaper «Dumka».
Details of the case
According to the prosecutor’s office, a 34-year-old man, who was under procedural supervision due to drug addiction and was receiving support in one of the medical institutions, illegally purchased 250 tablets of methadone for distribution. He was arrested in March 2024 and sentenced to six years in prison under the articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Another criminal, a 45-year-old resident of Lozova, was also sentenced for illegal trafficking of psychotropic substances. He purchased drugs for further distribution and has been sentenced to four years of imprisonment. His case is currently at the stage of appeal.
