Discovery of a Lipoma
According to the First Medical Union of Lviv, a patient had a new formation for almost 30 years. Lipoma, a benign formation that develops from fat tissue cells, was discovered when he was 20 years old. The growth had extended into the surrounding tissues of the upper inner third of the thigh — muscles, nerves, and blood vessels.
Partial Removal
Removing the lipoma completely was deemed too risky, as it could have resulted in the loss of sensitivity in the entire leg. Therefore, doctors from one of the city hospitals only removed part of the growth. They warned the young man that the tumor could continue to grow.
