Historic Buildings Damaged by Russian Attacks in UNESCO Zone
More than a hundred buildings, recognized as architectural monuments in the UNESCO zone, have been damaged by Russian attacks that commenced with the full-scale invasion. First Deputy Mayor Alexander Filatov reported that a total of 1412 structures in the city have been impacted.
Local operational headquarters are currently gathering information on the extent of the destruction in order to provide financial aid from the city budget. They are also offering guidance on accessing assistance through the state program eRecovery.
«For the years 2023 and 2024, material assistance from the city budget has been allocated for 1555 individuals whose homes were affected by the Russian Federation’s armed aggression, totaling 39.1 million hryvnias,» highlighted Filatov.
Funds from the city budget have additionally been earmarked for the reconstruction of several severely damaged buildings, including high-rise structures on Zabolotnogo Street, Shevchenko Avenue, and other locations.
