Poland Introduces New Residence Permits for Ukrainians

Starting in 2025, Poland will be introducing new types of residence permits for Ukrainians, aimed at making the country more attractive for refugees and immigrants. One of the key changes includes the introduction of the CUKR residence card, which will be issued to individuals with temporary protection in Poland, without the need for a specific purpose for staying.

According to information from the Telegram channel Wspólnie, the CUKR residence card will allow individuals to obtain a temporary work permit or engage in entrepreneurial activities, provided they meet certain criteria such as minimum salary or entrepreneur income.

Another important type of permit will be a temporary residence permit for family reunification, allowing family members of Polish citizens or foreigners with temporary or permanent residence and stable income to join their loved ones in Poland.

The CUKR residence card will also provide access to the labor market, enabling recipients to receive the «800+» benefit. Applications for the new types of residence permits will only be available in electronic form starting in 2025.
