Ivankivsky District Court Sentences Magomed Isaev

The Ivankivsky District Court of Kyiv region has sentenced Magomed Isaev for violating the laws and customs of war during the presence of Russian troops in the village of Zhmivka.

Magomed Isaev, a 44-year-old resident of the Republic of Dagestan, was convicted of violence and misappropriation of housing in the village of Vyshhorod district of Kyiv region. During the period from February 26 to March 30 last year, when Russian troops controlled the village, Isaev and his accomplices conducted raids in the houses of local residents and committed acts of violence.

The most notorious incident occurred on March 16, when Isaev shot a local woman while attempting to rape her. He also appropriated an apartment and lived there for a week and a half with other servicemen.

The victim testified how her family hid from Russian troops to avoid violence and persecution. Isaev used physical violence and threatened the lives of their children.

The court found Isaev guilty on all charges and sentenced him in accordance with the law.
