Tragic Loss of Defenders
Three communities in the Kirovohrad region are mourning the tragic deaths of their defenders.
Oleg Lysenko
The Onufriyivska community reported the death of Oleg Lysenko, born in 1975 and a resident of the village of Deriivka. Oleg was considered missing since January 24, 2023, and it was confirmed on May 30, 2024, that he was killed in combat near Bakhmut, Donetsk region. The date of farewell to Oleg Lysenko will be announced by the community separately.
Dmytro Samoylov
Another defender, Dmytro Samoylov, born on May 27, 1993, in Berislav, also lost his life. After completing a 9-year contract service in the Ukrainian army, he returned from Poland in March 2022 to defend his homeland. Dmytro tragically passed away on June 3, 2024, due to injuries sustained near Kostiantynivka in the Pokrovsk district of the Donetsk region. He is survived by his mother, wife, and two young sons aged 3 and 6. The date of farewell to this fallen hero will be announced separately.
