Cyber ​​Specialists Expose Enemy Agent Collecting Intelligence

Cyber specialists of the Security Service of Ukraine have exposed another enemy agent who was collecting intelligence on the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and adjusting rocket attacks in the Donetsk region. This was reported by the press service of the SBU in the Cherkasy region.

Informant’s Methods Revealed

Among the main goals of the enemy were the locations of the command and combat units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. To gather intelligence, the criminal used acquaintances and relatives from whom he obtained «necessary» information during conversations and correspondence.

Informant’s Identity Uncovered

According to the investigation, the informant turned out to be a 29-year-old resident of Kramatorsk, a former employee of the so-called «DNR militia». After the start of the Russian armed aggression, he established contact with a former colleague — a representative of the leadership of the pseudo-law enforcement agency. All further communication with the occupiers was carried out by the man through internet resources under his control.

Legal Action Taken

In the intelligence reports, he transmitted electronic maps with markings of objects and data on the approximate number of personnel and military equipment of Ukrainian defenders. Based on the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service informed the adjuster of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 114-2 (unauthorized dissemination of information on the direction, movement of weapons, movement, or location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, committed under conditions of martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Currently, the criminal is hiding from justice in the territory of the Russian Federation. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
