In November 2022, Scam Involving Fake Volunteer in Lozova

In November 2022, a resident of Lozova attempted to take advantage of the trust of a Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier by posing as a volunteer. He promised the soldier a quadcopter to carry out tasks at the front line, and after receiving an advance payment of 30,000 hryvnias, he disappeared without fulfilling his promises.

Legal Consequences

According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a bill of indictment under Article 190 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been drawn up. The man faces a fine or corrective labor for up to two years if his guilt is proven.
