Police Expose Waiters in Fraud Scheme in Lviv
Police have exposed waiters at a restaurant in Lviv in a fraud scheme, suspected of embezzling over 200,000 hryvnias using a coupon system for the establishment’s clients.
Suspects Identified
According to law enforcement officers, a 38-year-old resident of the Lviv region and a 23-year-old resident of Lviv were involved in the fraud. Several cases of unlawful appropriation of funds totaling over 200,000 hryvnias have been documented.
Legal Action Taken
The police have informed the suspects of suspicions of committing crimes under Part 3 of Article 190 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and Part 1 of Article 361 (unauthorized interference in the operation of information (automated), electronic communication, information and communication systems, electronic communication networks) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The suspects face a maximum punishment of up to five years in prison.
