Member of Sumy Regional Council Charged in Murder Case
On Saturday, June 22, the head of the Sumy region prosecutor’s office announced that a member of the Sumy Regional Council has been charged in the case of the murder of a local forestry worker. The incident occurred on June 21 at the «Northern Forest» hunting ground in the village of Zarichchya in the Konotop district. Law enforcement officers are investigating that the conflict arose as a result of negligence during a hunting event. The suspect has been arrested and is currently being held in a temporary detention facility.
