Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) Stays Put

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has announced that its chip production plants for Apple will remain in Taiwan, despite fears of a possible Chinese invasion.

Company Chairman Addresses Concerns

Chairman of the Board C.C. Wei stated that the company had considered relocating the plants after China conducted military exercises in the vicinity of the island. However, such a move was deemed impractical.

International Concerns

US and UK security services have issued an «unprecedented warning» about the threat posed by China. Concerns heightened after China essentially rehearsed a military blockade of the island, which could be a precursor to an invasion. Outrage also grew after China announced plans to reach new military heights by 2027, the 100th anniversary of the People’s Liberation Army.
