Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has awarded high state awards to military personnel of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine who showed exceptional courage during the execution of special combat tasks, in particular, the destruction of the Russian missile boat «Ivanovets».
Recognition for Bravery
According to the Office of the President, the meeting with the intelligence officers took place at the Mariyinsky Palace. The head of state emphasized that he is glad to have the opportunity to personally thank them, as well as all the soldiers of the Main Intelligence Directorate. «A lot has been done by you, a lot has been done by the soldiers of the Main Intelligence Directorate both on land and at sea. Russia really feels the pain from your actions, from the actions of your comrades, and it is important that the Russian instigators of this war lose from it every day,» Zelensky emphasized.
Success at Sea
He particularly highlighted the success of the Main Intelligence Directorate soldiers at sea, namely the defeat of the Russian missile boat «Ivanovets». «A complex operation in the raid of Lake Donuzlav – six direct hits of naval drones on the hull of the ‘Ivanovets’. It was really powerful. And I thank you for this strength,» added the President.
