US President Joe Biden provides $1 billion in military aid to Ukraine
President Joe Biden has signed a law that includes a new package of military aid to Ukraine, with weapons worth $1 billion set to be sent to the country. Biden announced the decision on Twitter, stating that the aid is necessary as Ukraine defends itself from Russian bombardments.
The assistance package will include long-range ATACMS missiles with a range of 300 kilometers, flying on a ballistic trajectory. This move was made possible after the US Congress passed a new law allocating over $60 billion in aid to Ukraine, following months of no assistance being sent due to difficulties in passing the bill.
